travel company club - discount travel

Just came from a 90 minute lecture on a travel company called "great xpectations" , they sell for a company called saveontrave.com. It sounds interesting but it is not the type of travel we like to do. They offer great discounts by cutting out the middle man for cruises, hotels, condos etc. For a lifetime $9000 ply $200 per year. Has anyone heard of them?

What middleman?
Most of us deal directly with the providers, with some help ftom sites like Kayak.

If it takes 90 minutes to "explain", it clearly is a scam.

If the OP hadn't been on Fodors so long I'd have just assumed the post was an ad and triangled.

And that website doesn't even exist.

Sorry - as soon as they find enough suckers to pay $9K each they will be out of business and on to the next scam - leaving their members with nothing.

Why no just spend the $9K on a really nice vacation now?

I love it when a middleman sells a service that promises to cut out the middleman. Clearly the people doing this are collecting money upfront and then again when they book travel for you. If they AREN'T middlemen, then that means this comes from an actual cruise line or an actual hotel? LMAO!

Exactly. What middleman? Give me $8,000 up front then $199 per year and I'll promise you good deals on travel myself. I'll even give you my personal PO Box so you know where to find me in case there are any issues.

OK. Anytime someone requires you to send a "money order" it means SCAM. If a company is not set up to accept credit cards (which will offer you protection) then clearly that are scamming you!
