Lewis Brothers and All Resorts Express are the 2 main shuttle ser vices. Fast and reliable from the airport to meet any flight. Will drop off anywhere in Park City but depends on the season. Public bus will run much less frequently and will make many more stops.

We've always found it cheaper to rent a car, even when we're not planning on using it. If it's just for yourself, a shuttle might be better, but for our family of 4 a shuttle would have cost about double what a car cost to rent.

Good point, I'll be solo or maybe with one other so that's why I focused on a shared ride. I was curious about public transport as my computer can't render the Utabus maps so I can't tell if it goes to PC but sounds like a shared shuttle may be best bang for the buck, anyway.

Loki,
As someone who drives down to Salt Lake every day to work, I can tell you that there is NO public transportation between the valley and Park City.
UTA (Utah Transit Authority) only serves Provo/Orem - SLC - Ogden, the main population areas of the state. There are buses, commuter rail and TRAX (electric rail). TRAX will run from the airport to downtown in about 3 years from now. They just broke ground.
The Park City Shuttle system is free and goes all over town and to all 3 resorts. The extended free bus system (Summit Country) goes a bit further out and links with PC shuttles.
Your best bet is one of the many, many shuttle companies. Two already mentioned, and another is Park City Transportation.
Hope this helps!
