The easiest way is probably Amtrak from Chicago to Detroit, a cab over to Windsor, and then VIARail from Windsor to London. Looks like you could also do Amtrak from Chicago to Port Huron, a cab to Sarnia, and then VIARail from Sarnia to London. Amtrak schedules are at http://www.amtrak.com and VIARail at http://www.viarail.ca . To do all train you'd need to do the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited Chicago to Buffalo, hang around in the middle of nowhere all day waiting for the Amtrak Maple Leaf to Toronto, then probably have to wait overnight to catch VIARail to London the next morning.
