News reports said it was an especially difficult task to clear the road this year, as we've had snowstorms and high wind which kept covering the road after plowing. Glad to hear it's open.

Let the season begin!

Yes, what Sanford guy?

Some friends of ours drove over Trail Ridge yesterday, they report:

"We saw 8 moose, elk, fox, and pika. Visitor center at the top is still closed with snow up to the roof and they are trying to get it all cleared."

I hiked up Flattop Mountain on Wednesday and was on snow all the way from Bear Lake, still lots of snow on the trails making for spectacular alpine views.

The Bear Lake Road construction rules go into effect this week:

Man, perhaps you've confused the Appalachian Trail with Trail Ridge Road, Brazil with Argentina, and 2009 with 2013. If that's the case then you'll be glad to know that he is OK and is serving time in the House.

What does being from the west coast have to do with it? Or does that mean you are naturally geographically impaired?
