Toutorsky Mansion, Washington DC

Has anyone stayed at the Toutorsky Mansion in Washington, DC? The photos look gorgeous and I'm curious if the place lives up to its web site. Thanks!

I can't believe they still have this website up. The place is not even open. I can't believe they would take a reservation. We will walk by tonight on the way to dinner just to confirm that nothing has changed.

Well, it was fully booked two weeks ago when my friend stayed there.... BTW - she loved it! Very beautiful interior and lots of character.

It is the same place I thought it was and I will say the inside pictures are beautiful. They must have rehabed the inside and left the outside alone because the outside is terrrible. You wouldn't even know it's open or that it is a hotel/inn. There are no signes at all on 16th. If they cleaned up the outside I bet they could do a bang up business especially with cooking classes. I live right around the corner and take cooking classes down on 14th. Didn't even know this place offered them.

Denice - I know it was sold recently because Umberto, the previous owner, told my friend that it just became a money pit for him. I guess he wanted to be able to rent all 16 rooms but could only get coding to rent six. She said it is absolutely gorgeous inside.
