Looking for a top notch restaurant in Minneapolis where I can get a gift card for a wedding gift. Any suggestions.

Try Piccolo. Excellent wines, fascinating food and great chef.

They have gift certificates too: http://www.piccolompls.com/gift-certificates.html

It will likely be a certificate and not a card, but Bachelor Farmer is excellent. Fantastic food and excellent service. The best restaurant I've been to in Minneapolis. They have some good vegetarian options, but not much that is vegan (most include either egg or cheese).

Spoonriver has a lot of vegetarian options. Maybe Kindee Thai or Sawatdee? I wouldn't call the last two top notch though.

Most top notch restaurants don't have many vegetarian options. You could look at Bar La Grassa, Spoon and Stable and 112 Eatery and see what you think about their menus.

Bachelor Farmer is almost all meat. I wouldn't pick that for a vegetarian.

bar la grassa is a good choice. Travail/The Rookery is fabulous. 112 and Boulevard could work.

La Belle Vie would be terrific.

Bachelor Farmer is almost all meat.

That isn't true.

Travelgourmet, I don't eat meat and the three times I have been to the Bachelor Farmer I have really struggled to find something without meat on the menu to order. It is a great restaurant with wonderful service and others in our party have always really enjoyed their meals. However, for someone wanting primarily vegetarian, I think there are better options.

www.frenchmeadow.com

Shar, my vegetarian daughter recommends this place highly. It is lots more than a bakery.
