Thanks, I entered Florida Turnpike on google and got the government web site. The people there were really helpful and my SUNPASS is on its way. You put $10 on they give you $5 and anything you dont use gets refunded to you. I am all set now and looking forward to visiting Miami

Just in case other readers find this thread on a search, depending on where you are in Miami you could easily pass through four toll stations going from Miami to the Everglades (one on the Snapper Creek Expressway, one on the Don Schula Expressway, and two on the FL Turnpike). NONE of those toll stations are manned; they are either Sunpass or toll-by-plate. For toll by plate the rental car company may charge a servicing fee (sheck with them) that makes it neccessary to buy their daily pass OR get a sunpass as Kaybird14 did.
My parents spent a month in south florida in April. They drove their own car down, so just decided to use toll-by-plate instead of buying a sunpass. As of this date (July 18th) they still have not gotten any bills in the mail!
