To do/see betwn Indianapolis & Colorado Springs?

I realize long drive & may just see "grass growing" -- but are there any interesting stops right along or not far off the highway from Indianapolis IN to Colorado Springs CO?

I really have to tell you "No". I have driven it a number of times and getting ready for my swan song drive in a couple of weeks. But know this--you can really make time!! Also do not be fooled into thinking you are almost there when you hit the Colorado line--another 4-6 hours!! Books on tape are the deal.

About five or six hours from Indianapolis, you will drive through St. Louis. That's about it. It's a pretty boring drive, especially Kansas, where there are only fields with an occasional oil rig off in the distance.

Indy to the Springs is only an 18hr drive (obeying posted speed limits and stopping at rest areas). Why would you want to waste time along the way and turn this into a two-day trip?

There is nothing in IN, IL, MO, or KS that can compare with Pikes Peak or even Garden of the Gods and the Rampart Range.
