Dear all
My in-laws are planning a trip to Miami and the Keys for this January, and are looking for a place to stay in Miami/Greater Miami, but not too expensive and not in Downtown Miami or Miami Beach, since they already know the area very well and are looking for a relaxing place instead of a very touristic spot.
Any ideas and/or tips will be more than welcome
Thanks a lot!
Kind regards
Gaston.-

There is a Hampton Inn on the Coral Gables/Coconut Grove area that is a cut above the usual Hampton Inn and less expensive than a city hotel, though not cheap is your price expectations are based on those beside the highway. It is convenient to the elevated railway, Vizcaya, etc and to the highways to the Keys.
If they have miles or points, the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne is superb, according to my son, who has points galore from business travel.
There is a Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove.
They can try the Biltmore Hotel built in the 20's in Coral Gables. It has a golf course, spa, restaurants, wonderful pool. Although it's located in the heart of a quiet residential area, it is less than a 5 min.ride to downtown Coral Gables.
