Times Square - Courtyard vs. Doubletree

For a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children-6 & 1), which property would be the better choice if the rates are comparable?

I understand Doubletree to be a suite, but is the Courtyard a suite as well? Are breakfast typically included in the price of the rooms?

I can also reserve a club level at the Sheraton NY & Towers for about the same rate. I understand the club level at the Sheraton offers breakfast as part of the daily rate.

I want the family to stay in a relaxing atmosphere while still being able to stay within budget. Also important to our decision are the room size, the cleanliness of room, and whether there's a tub in the bathroom for the kids to bathe.

Given these constraints, which property do you think fits our need?

Thanks for your help.

Stayed at the Doubletree and, yes, all rooms are two room suites. It was very nice, there is a full size tub in bathroom. Do not think the Courtyard is a suite hotel, but you can chek marriott.com to be sure. My experience is that breakfast is not included at either property, unless you book some kind of breakfast package (Marriott calls it "Two for Braekfast") I have no experience with the Sheraton, but club level sounds good. In addition to breakfast, these "club" levels usually have snacks all day long, BUT usually only open during the week, not week-ends. Hope this helps -- enjoy your trip ! NY is a great city.

We love the Doubletree: having a suite is great. Breakfast isn't included, but with a frig in the room, you can stock some groceries.

Although not in Times Square, we recently stayed very close, at the Hilton Towers between 7th and 53rd. We were able to walk or take a train everywhere very easily.

As a Hilton Honors member, we were given a club floor on 39, which included breakfast on the 44th, (cereals, pastries, breads, fruit, beverages), cookies in the afternoon and great appetizers from 4-7pm.

The room had two double beds (we had two children with us) and a full sized tub-shower. It was very clean and service was amazingly good for being such a huge hotel. Hubby got it on priceline for just over $100.

If you're not set on Times Square I would definitely check it out.
