Thoughts needed on Hotel First in Portland
Thanks for all the suggestions on my thread about the Holiday Inn. I checked all of them and a couple are possibles. A friend suggested the Hotel First. Sounds good-decent price and nice rooms. Would appreciate thoughts on hotel itself and the location. Good reviews on Trip Advisor except commrnents about noise. I like getting more opinions from Fodor's folks. Thanks.

Boy, did I mess up! It's Hotel Fifty, not Hotel First. The brain must be further gone than I realized Sorry. Don't know how to post a link, but here is web address: www.hotelfifty.com.

I wondered
We stayed at Hotel50 when caught a special on Expedia. Did not hear any noise although they did some fixing outside. I'd say it's a quiet area where everything is 2-3-4 blocks away. Easy access to the airport by MAX, no need for a taxi.
I would stay there if I'd get a good deal. It's close to everything, but not exactly in the middle of everything.
Linda, let me see if I can find my report, I'll post a link here.
