I know the beach is the attraction. What else? We are contemplating staying 8 min. from the beach - is that a problem (parking, traffic, etc)?
Thanks, traveling on a college search w/ my 17 year old.

The beach is the biggest attraction so stay there rather than 8 minutes away. There are a lot of great condo resorts as well as nice hotels. Best Western is a good hotel on the beach. There's a very nice mall at Foley, AL with about 100 stores. Fairhope is a nice town to visit just NW of Gulf Shores. Enjoy your trip.
Best Western @ 337 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 251 - 948 - 2711.

Thank you. Our condo, 8 min. away, was much more comfortable, and considerably cheaper, than the overpriced hotels on the beach.
