It's a spectacular sight. I hope the weather is good that week!

Thanks for posting this. There has been lots of talks about funding this event and that it may not happen; but looks like it got the green light.
If anyone is interested, you can read this Boston Globe Article:

You started the Boston tour bug! Glad I could contribute something to it.
thanks so much! I will be in Boston that very time!
I know you have those dates, but is there any chance they will be there on the 4th--or I wonder where they are then--maybe NYC?
ttt
Jaya, I was just thinking of doing the same (ttt) earlier today! I think I'll head out on Thursday the 9th. That's the first day when the public can check out the ships.
For anyone who's interested, the full schedule is now available on the website in the first post.
Wow--thanks so much for posting this news as we'll be on NH seacoast from 7/11-18 and were planning a day trip to Boston--we were leaning towards the 14th but now with this info, we'll go sooner to see the ships. What luck!
I hope the weather is glorious while the ships are here!
Jaya, you're asking for too much. Let's just hope it won't be raining buckets...
LOL!
I've given up on my hair. Not worth worrying about with the rain and humidity.

The Tall Shops have started to arrive:

Mother Nature is currently giving them a 21-gun salute:

Anonymous, thanks for posting the slideshow. I'm hoping to see them on Thursday!
TTT again
I'm heading there Saturday before heading to Fenway. Just got Green Monster Seats for the game.
If anyone else is heading that way, please make it Sunday so I can have them to myself.
Once the hailstorms and tornados go away, I'll plan to head down to see the ships.
OMG, it's such a gorgeous day today, and the Tall Ships are beautiful!!!
I went to see a bunch at Rowes Wharf, then later to Charlestown Navy Yard and boarded the Eagle. There were a few others that one can board, but the line was moving too slowly for me, so I gave up.
If you have some spare time Fri/Sat/Sun, please stop by and check them out. The weather is supposed to be nice the rest of the week!
Here are a couple of pics I took:

Glad you made it down to see them yk. It's on our agenda for the weekend. Thanks for the pictures too.
Hope you'll have a great time, Jaya.
Hey, we made it to Boston and saw the ships!!! We did not stand in line to get on any of the ships, but just walking around the piers and admiring them was enjoyable. Plus the weather was beautiful today.
The area by the waterfront has been transformed from a few years ago when they were still doing the Big Dig. It's so green and pretty now.
Yes, the Rose Kennedy Greenway (where the ugly I-93 used to be) is really nice. I lived here during part of the Big Dig, and every time I head to the Greenway now, I still find it hard to believe this transformation. Visitors who have never seen the ugly I93 will never understand how beautiful it looks now. I'm glad you enjoyed it too!
Did a Harbor Cruise today to see all of the ships rather than walk around select ones. It was perfect. I have never seen so many boats on the Harbor as today. Coast Guard had their hands full but did a great job. Definitely a great way to spend today. Would recommend anybody thats undecided head down tomorrow and enjoy it.
