The Atlantic or The Diplomat?

Now trying to decide between these two. Would appreciate any feedback from people that have stayed at either. Atlantic is in Ft. Lauderdale and Diplomat in Hollywood. Thank you.

Sorry, the Diplomat is the Westin not the Country Club one. Don't want to confuse anyone.

Tough call!

I'd almost have to flip a coin on that one.

Either way, both gorgeous resort hotels on great beaches.

The Westin Diplomat has one of the coolest pools I've ever seen. It actually is suspended above another pool with a glass bottom.

My husband and I have stayed at both and prefer the Westin Diplomat.
Westin Diplomat is a gorgeous hotel, they have redone the beach and now there is a nice beach, the pools are nice, it is less expensive than the Atlantic and the service is good. The rooms are average size but well appointed and the beds are comfortable. It is more of a family hotel than the Atlantic. Although we were never disturbed by children.

The Atlantic is beautiful. The rooms are suites and beautiful. The beach is across the street. The pool is small. We found the service to be poor for the amount of money we were spending. We found it to be a little snotty and unorganized. We ordered something to be brought up to our room and it took 2 hours to get it after 3 phone calls.

Thanks for both replies. Linda we're both from NJ! I'm in Bergen County (Glen Rock). I will book the Westin!

We stayed at the Diplomat in January for the Orange Bowl. Great locations, great rooms, fabulous pool, etc. You won't be disappointed staying here.

We are booked into the Westin for 5 nights pre-cruise. How far is the hotel to Port Everglades? Also will we be able to get a shuttle from Miami Airport. Thanks

While we did stay at the Westin and loved it, I can't say how far it is from Port Everglades and we rented a car, so don't know about shuttles. Sorry, hope someone out there can answer your questions.

Short trip to Port Everglades. Maybe 12 minutes by car?

Don't know about shuttle to Miami Airport. You will need a car staying in that area. Rentals are cheap in South Florida.
