Rejoice In 'n' Out fans! The chain will be opening restaurants in Dallas/Ft. Worth!

Actually, I'm a Hamburger Habit girl, but if I leave California I'm outta luck.

I have no idea why In 'n' Outs are so beloved.

db - I am not entirely sure either. I like their burgers occasionally, but I don't understand the large following. And I LOVE a good burger. I still mourn the closing of Hal's Grubsteak in Yuba City, CA, and it's been 10 years now, I guess.

I'm also not sure why the allure. They're certainly good for a fast-food burger, but their fries taste like cardboard (I don't know how you do that with fresh potatoes, but they manage somehow).

If I want a good hamburger I still prefer the backyard grill.

I agree with the comment that In 'N' Out is beloved by those who eat a lot of fast food. If you don't like fast food they are not that great.

Nancy, I used to make my husband take me up to the one on National about once a month. I don't know who was more excited when the one in ES opened!

I had Five Guys last year when I was in PA. And it was a tasty burger.

I finally had an In and Out burger a few months ago, and was underwhelmed, but the shake was good and I was wishing it was bigger. LOL

Do you guys who were underwhelmed, order off the Secret Menu? You can order just about anything you want.

A Cheeseburger Animal Style is great, as is the Neapolitan Shake.

It's a mustard cooked beef patty, additional pickles, lettuce, tomato, extra secret sauce, with grilled onions.

A Neapolitan Shake is Strawberry, vanilla and chocolate swirled together, not blended.

I have ordered off the "secret menu" - doesn't matter, the burger itself just isn't that good! Like I said, I think it's GREAT for a fast-food burger, but when I want a really good burger, I can think of two or three restaurants right in my town that serve mouth-wateringly delicious burgers, at aa price of course
