Our son can not come home for Thanksgiving so we are going there to celebrate Thankgiving - he does not have dishes, furniture, etc so wants us to go out for Thanksgiving dinner - can anyone recommend some good places to go???

Dixie Chicken???
So is that a really fun and good place to eat??!!
I personally have not eaten at The Republic in College Station, but it gets excellent reviews and the menu looks fabulous. I see on their website that they are offering turkey, etc. in addition to their regular menu items on Thanksgiving. I hope you have a very nice Thanksgiving meal with your son. (We live across the country from our son that goes to UT, but fortunately, he will be able to come home for Thanksgiving.)
I would highly recommend Cafe Eccell - it has wonderful food and a nice environment. It's our favorite spot when we go through town. There are lots of chains and bars since it's a college town, but this place is a standout.

The Dixie Chicken is a bar where Aggies go to dunk their rings. They used to have rattlesnakes - do they still have them?
