Thank You So Much, I Chose Mall of America
Thank you so much for your help and suggestions. I have decided to follow my dreams and go to Mall of America. I found a very nice package on Expedia and am actually going to be flying there! I will save the Alamo for a future trip. I'm sure Mama would approve. Thank you again, you are the best!

Vegas, my comment was tongue-in-cheek. Read stormsabrewin other post and you will see...it is one of the funniest that I have ever read on this website. It apparently was shut down last night.
I've eaten at Bubba's once (on Pier 39 in SF) if I remember it was good but nothing worth a special visit.

Phew....I thought I might have been the only one not having too many or last night and thought the original post was a put-on. But for fear of offending the OP [in case it was serious], I decided to not let my dry wit rest.
If it was real, glad you made you choice.
I do see that the original thread is closed. Even though I have been on here for over 3 years {and really active only the past year or so} I do not know what TROLLOING is...explanation please?

Well guys, coming from moi, and after all the sad wishes and prayers on FFRR, isn't it wonderful that a sense of humor lightens things up around here on a Sat. night, when many of us choose to relax at home?
I took a printed thread to my neighbor last night, who is recovering from surgery. Her and I laughed until tears ran down our faces.
So although some may take a thread a bit more serious, it is all in good fun.
Incidentally, I posted about a true situation. My late dad had a wonderful sense of humor and I know that would have made him chuckle.
Hoping that it doesn't get to the point where it's "just the facts ma'am."
After all, friendships are made from shared experiences. I am grateful that I have found a couple new friends in BayouGal and matnikstym and will be meeting them in "real life".
From another forum, I made a wonderful friend five years ago and our families have traveled together and remained close ever since.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Life is short. Have a nice Sunday.O

Storm, sorry to hear they closed your thread. I wondered why you started a new one regarding your decision, but had no idea last night that the other had been closed so fast. Does big brother work that fast or do people write in to complain? I sure wish they would have left the Unruly Child thread from yesterday. If anyone has a copy of it, please email it to me. Thanks!

Storm,
Definitely try the deep-fried cheese curds and walleye on the stick at the MOA.
I'm glad to hear you're flying, although your otyher thread reminded me of a trip I took while in college -- a long, long, long time ago. Got a Greyhound Ameripass ($169 for a month) and traveled from South Dakota to Fla. to Minn. (girlfriend problems) to Las Vegas to Southern Calif. to Las Vegas (it was college after all) to Reno to Bay Area to Reno and back to the Midwest.
Best of luck on your trip. Sorry I missed the fun on whatever thread was closed.
