Texas Beachgoers- Good family friendly seafood restaurant in Port Aransas?

We are looking to go to Port Aransas sometime next month to take our little boy to the beach. Any ideas on seafood restaurants that are good and family friendly. Outdoor dining or views are not important just good food.

I read about a few on tripadvisors we went to the Boiling Pot in Rockport as our daughter lived in the area for awhile and wanted to go. The food wasn't bad the atmosphere was fun mostly families it is a little bit of a drive.

Thanks hulajake. We will more than likely be in Port A one night only, so I'd really like to stay on the island to eat.

We liked the seafood at Island Cafe, which is very popular with the Port A locals. It's just a down-home kind of place that's not on the water, but the food was really good. Check our reviews on Tripadvisor.

Thanks Jayne! I read all of the reviews which were all very positive. Can you tell me if they have grilled or broiled fish? I know many places serve lots of fried fish but husband and I prefer ours grilled. Hopefully we can go check it out.

I don't remember if they had grilled/broiled fish. You are probably right about the fried. It should be easy to check out, at any rate.

Have a great time in Port A -- wish I was going this summer, too!
