I calculate that it is about 850 miles from Jackson, Wy to Seattle.
From Jackson, go over the Teton Pass to Idaho Falls. Pick up I 15 there.
At Pocatello, take I 86 to the junction with I 84. I 86 is quite short.
Follow I 84 to Pendleton, Oregon.
Just west of Pendleton, I 84 intersects I 82. Follow I 82 until it intersects with I 90 at Ellensburg, Washington.
Follow I 90 into Seattle. That route gives you Interstate driving almost all of the way. But you miss Craters of the Moon National Monument, which is interesting. You might stop in Baker City Oregon for the Oregon Trail Museum, which is very good. Except as my wife said, it did not say enough about the role of women, and the hardships they endured because some crazy husband wanted to get rich.
