Tennesse in Mid-March questions
We are tentatively planning a trip to visit family in Tennessee in Mid March. Our plans include a stop in Memphis to see the Gibson Guitar Factory and taking our son to the Memphis Zoo. What kinds of crowds can we expect since I know some people have Spring Break at this time? Also is it very rainy in March?
After Memphis we plan to drive to the Bristol area which is where the family lives. Any ideas about some fun things to do with a 2 year old in the area? I saw a children's musuem in Johnson City that looked like it might be good.

I can't imagine either the Gibson factory or the zoo would be overrun with visitors, but I could be wrong. In terms of weather, March is a crapshoot. Could be chilly and rainy; could be warm and sunny. It'll be cooler in the Tri-Cities than in Memphis, but that's about the only thing that's close to certain!

Have to agree with Jent. I live in Nashville area. Last March we had a terrible frost towards the end of the month that killed lots of plants, shrubs and bushes in my yard. But sometimes I'm wearing shorts in March so you never know.

Thanks everyone. We live in Texas and we typically have shorts weather in March, but this past April we actually got some really chilly weather. People hear like to take Easter pictures in the wildflowers but this year you had to really bundle up for those pictures!
