Any suggestions for a good lunch spot for 2 teen boys who like Italian, Steak and Chinese.

We're going to the Bodies Exhibit before or afterward but it doesn't have to be right near there, from what I understand there aren't a lot of choices in that area.

A perfect Italian restaurant for teenage boys with big appetites is Becco on West 46th, between 8th & 9th. They have a pasta special at $21.95, in which they serve three different pastas and you can keep having as much of each as you want.

My stepkids and neices and nephews were appalled by that.

"What??? One Coke with dinner???" Yup, mean old stepmom.

Becco is a good deal with kids.

The Brooklyn Diner is also very good and large portions.

Howard, I just went on Becco's website and it looks like the pasta special is only $16.95 at lunch, even better!

From my memeory which is sometimes faulty the Brooklyn Diner is on 57th near 7th Avenue. I took two teen girls there for dinner, and we all enjoyed it. Think diner comfort food cooked proficiently.

Thanks everyone. After being home with them yesterday for a snow day and climbing the walls, I'm really thinking I should make this a 2 day trip.

Any suggestions of what else we can do or see besides the body exhibit? They're bored with the Museum of Natural History and the Met, any other ideas?

ESPN Zone is a favorite with our boys...lots of games and pretty good food for a trendy chain type of place. Blue Man Group would also be fun for 2 teen boys.

have you ever tried Korean or Turkish food? Both big hits with our teen boys. Haven't been to Korean in the city for quite a while (we now have some places closer to home) but I'm sure you can just pick any place from a Zagat's.

Last night, we were in the city and stumbled on Beyoglu (Turkish) on 81st and 3rd. Not expensive and good. Grilled lamb, beef and chicken, as well as seafood and great veggie dishes. Or, just check out Zagats for an option near where you'll be ending up.

In terms of activities, DON'T do the Sony Lab (just in case this is something you might be considering). They are too old. We did it last summer and it was a waste of time for teens.

If you're looking for an evening activity, have you ever been to Chicago City Limits? It's an improv troupe. My kids love it. Expect a few off-color moments, as improv lends itself at times to adult humor.

btw, if you do go to a Korean place, and it's your first time, the menu can be a bit confusing to navigate. I would highly recommend ordering bulgoki and kalbi. These are both cuts of marinated meat; bulgoki is shredded and kalbi is short ribs. Both delicious, and what we always order. These are some of my boys favorite kinds of meat!

Go to my favorite dining area in NY - Restaurant Row !! Theres' a little Italian restaurant there called DaRosina - cheap and good !! Plus walking along Restaurant Row is fun in itself ! Any cabbie knows where it is - but it's on 8th and I think 47th.
