Taxi cabs at the Boston airport at midnight

My flight arrives at the Boston airport at midnight. Are there cabs waiting at the airport this late? How is the best way to make sure that there is a cab to take us to the hotel in downtown. How much is the estimated fare from the airport to downtown? Any response would be greatly appreciated.

There will be taxis. The Logan website says $25--$45 to downtown, which sounds a bit high, but it is a long time since we paid for a taxi there. Logan is not very busy late at night--compared to lots of airports--but there will be taxis.

Actually, coincidentally we are arriving at Logan tomorrow night at 11:15 PM and I will be sure to verify this for you, Therese. Are you flying domestically or internationally?

Hi Therese, we were able to do the experiment for you last night…..our flt was nearly TWO hours late, arriving just ~1:00 AM! Plenty of taxis and all of the shuttle buses running, altho late at night no retail establishments at Logan are open…Of course, Logan had been experiencing delays all day long which made the airport more active than it might otherwise have been at such a late hour, but I am sure you will be fine.

You could also Uber. We used Uber several times in Boston last spring, albeit not from the airport, and it worked like a charm.
