tavern on the green
Please help! I have dinner reservations at tavern on the green for 5:30. We are seeing Gypsy at the Schubert theatre at 8:00. Is the theatre within walking distance? Will we have enough time or should I make the reservations sooner. Thanks in advance.

I think you are cutting it too close.
If dinner takes 1.5 hours that will bring you to 7pm.
The theaters are in the low 40's and Tavern is in the 60's. If you are taking a cab you need to allow for traffic.

Its's about a mile walk, which you could easily do in less than an hour. I've never had pre-theater dinner at Tavern on the Green, so I don't know how long it'll take. Perhaps, you should call the restaurant and ask for their advice.

HowardR I knew I could count on you. I tried to ask these questions when I made the reservation but the person was very short with me and assured me I would have plenty of time. I also e-mailed the restaurant but I think I will call and make the reservations earlier. Thanks again!

LoriNY the only reason I am going there is it's my 50th birthday and I want it to be very special. Maybe I am foolish for going there but I am trying to stay positive about it. I have heard so much about the place I just want to see it for myself. Thanks for the input!
