Any suggestions for a moderate priced hotel in the Tarrytown area. We are needing a place to stay in Tarrytown and wondered if anyone has any suggestions.
Friends have mentioned the Castle but prices there were over $300......we were looking for something a bit more moderate.

A Visit to Charleston
One site I found on the internet looks great - called the Tarrytown House. It's an old estate that's used for conferences, etc. during the week but takes individual reservations for the weekend. Their prices looked great also. Site is www.dolce.com/properties/tarrytownhouse/index.shtml. If you do stay there, please post when you get back how it was.
I've been to the TTH for both conferences and a wedding. It's really very nice, and the food is great. The rooms are a good size. The only downside I see for an individual is that even with the charm of the setting, it's hard to completely forget you're at a conference center.

Your friend's recommendation of The Castle is a good. Its' magnificent, as is its pricey restaurant, Equus.
