Go HUNGRY to Sandobe Sushi - 330 E. 11th St between First and Second Ave. (Subways: either the L to First Ave. or the 6 to Astor Place) Delicious - always my first destination in NYC. Salty edamame to start, generous slabs of tuna and salmon, unbelievable rolls and this fish is the cheapest in NYC!!!!

Try Nobu. Everyone makes a big deal about how hard it is to get in, but I went two weekends ago with two friends. Walked right up on Saturday night and got a table. Granted, we were well-dressed and super charming so that didn't hurt us in snagging a table. But more important than that, it's some of the freshest sushi I've had in my life. Beautiful presentation. And great Martinis. For three of us, with drinks and tip, it was a little over $200.

Ric, I will share with you our 2 favorite Sushi places, but SHHHH, don't tell anyone else, or we won't be able to get in again.
Mishima - Lex at 30th St. is the best Sushi place we have ever eaten in. Always fresh and the price is very good, dinner for 2 with drinks and sushi/sashimi delux is $60.
Another very good and new place is Iron Sushi, at 3rd Ave and 30th, get the Sushi Boat, for 2, at $48 it's almost a steal.
Another thought is Tsunami in the Village. Very good with sushi boats at the sushi bar and a jazz combo a couple of nights a week.
There's also a few all you can eat sushi places around town, for $20's dollars per person, Okura on 3rd at 34 and 17th.
This is becoming Sushitown. Have a great time.
