I was thinking of planning a trip out to SV Idaho to do some skiing and sightseeing around the end of December. I have done some research but I havent found too much about that area at that time of year. Is the snow any good then? what about other activities, fishing, sightseeing etc? Thanks!

We were in SV about 10 years ago for the holidays. I remember there was enough good snow for skiing but it wasn't terribly cold.
We had a lot of fun ice skating at the resort and seeing a film in the one-screen resort theater (don't know if that's still there). I would imagine there are a lot of beautiful homes to rent.
We had our New Year's Eve dinner at a restaurant in Ketchum called Christiania (I think). It was french food, and fabulous. There are lots of cute shops in Ketchum and I think it would be a good time of year to go.
