We are from VA and will be traveling up the 95 corridor. The intention is to get to Acadia Natl Park, spending 3 days, and then head back the same way. We will be visiting friends in Westport for the day, then going over to Mystic. We doin't know how long it takes to get from A to B; should we spend a night in Hartford? We plan on going up to the Cape from there, then to the Boston-Salem area. We could use suggestions on where to stay/eat along the way.

Sorry, I meant to type New England!
the drive from va to westport will take most of the day. from westport to mystic a couple hours. mystic to the cape a few hours depending on how far out you're going. same time back off cape to boston. 5 hours boston to acadia.
go to mapquest.com, put in each of your destinations and they will give you precise driving times, as well as directions.
acadia is wonderful. try to go over to schoodic point. it is dramatic and beautiful. try to be there at as the tide is coming in for the best waves crashing on rocks.
