Summer 2014: Yosemite.King's Canyon and Sequoia: book now?

Jump to last reply

We are planning a summer 2014 trip that would include a few of the national parks in Northern CA. From things I read here we need to book Yosemite as far in advance as possible. While the Ahwahnee Lodge looks wonderful if is a little out of our budget. Best available rate for this date in 2014 is $482. For location and price I was thinking the Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, I have not had the time I need to research this well yet. We are a family of 5 and I am the only one who has been to Yosemite before. (Years ago I stayed at a really nice place outside the park, I think it was near Mariposa but I can't remember.) Are we on the right track here?

We are hoping to see King's Canyon and Sequoia as well. Any suggestions on where to stay during that part of our trip? Do we need to book this now too? Any advice about these parks is welcome! ( I know I know don't go in the summer!) Thank you.
