We will be traveling to the Kennedy Space Center in November with 2 small children. Any ideas on where to stay in that area would be greatly appreciated. We would like something on or close to the beach.

I live in Daytona & our local TV says traffic will be terrible. Can heartily recommend a seafood restaurant in Titusville, Dixie Crossroads. Excellent, reasonable, family oriented. A popular spot. Worth a call to see if they take reservations. And if they don't, there's a fishpond outside that kids seem to love to feed the fish and that makes the time pass.

Stayed in Cococa Beach 5/97 and were really pleased with the Comfort Inn -- in the 6-story tower (not the ground-level rooms). Reasonable rates, two TVs, nice little pool, microwave, little fridge. About 1.5 blocks from beach, room had balconies on east and west.

Close to things you might need for your kids -- fast food, supermarket, pharmacy, Cocoa Beach pier, and across the street from the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop.

Enjoyable drive from there to KSC.

I live in Orlando and can recommend the Ramanda http://www.ramadaksc.com/ in Titusville. It's as close to the Space Center as you'll get. Also the Cnaveral National Seahore is just a short drive away. It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Central Florida. Enjoy your trip.
