Suggestion for 4 day trip anywhere in the east coast
Hi!
Any suggestions for a 4 day trip anywhere in the east coast? We live in New Jersey and are looking for some place to visit on the Memorial day weekend by car, within 10 hrs driving distance. Maine is out coz we have been there.
Thanks in advance,
Wanderbug.

we are not freaks Gene we bleed just like you do. ...That was a joke.
I am dealing with the same question with my inlaws Wanderburg. I want them to tack on 4 hours and go to Quebec. Tadeusac has three types of whales that visit in August. Also there are incredible mountains against the ocean, trader settlements, indian reservation and natural beauty you don't expect to see in the North East OOPs you wanted May.
Their idea is to go to Smokey Mountain National Park in Tenn. They would be traveling from Southern New Jersey. Suppose to be gorgeous.
My family and memorial day Washington D.C all of the mall museums are free, plenty of cultural events also. Georgetown fun to stroll at night.

A couple of ideas
- The Blue ridge Mountains, and Skyline Drive in Virginia
- Washington DC
- A B&B farm in Vermont or New Hampshire
- Montreal & Quebec City
I've done all of these, and depending on what you are looking for, they are all great destinations.

A couple of years ago, we took a trip to the midwest, specfically, to see the architecture in Columbus, Indiana.
I'd read about this before we went. The town is about 35,000 people, and is an architectural jewel--I'll include the URL for more information at the end.
It was, indeed, worth the trip. And along the way, we stopped at the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
I think Indianapolis might be worth a visit, too.
And, if you haven't had your fill of architecture, there's Fallingwater in western PA. And there's another Wright-designed house at Kentuck Knob, about 20 minutes or so from the former.
