What do you think, trip in April.
Sat: drive from S. Florida to Jekyll Island, Stay 2 nights at Hampton Inn
Sunday: Easter services somewhere on the Island. Fat Tire bike rental for the afternoon. Dinner at Sundae Cafe or AJ's.
Lunch?
Monday: drive to Savannah, have lunch at Lady and Sons or Wilkes House. Drive to Charleson, check in at King Charles Inn.
Dinner Nick's BBQ, or another suggesion for a lower cost dinner.
Tuesday: Ft. Sumter tour (or maybe the Acquarium depending on weather).
Lunch?
2-5pm: Houses and Sites of the Revolutionary War tour from Homes and Gardens Festival
Dinner at SNOB
Wed: Plantation tour to Drayton Hall and Middleton Place, lunch at the later stop.
Drinks at Rooftop Terrace, and dinner at Magnolias.
Thurs: Gullah Tours. Jestines Kitchen for lunch. Aiken Rett and Russell House tours. Dinner at High Cotton.
Fri: do whatever we didn't fit in, start for home.

I would pick Mrs. Wilkes' over Lady and Sons. Get there around 1030 and get in line.
Jim 'N' Nick's is okay but there are some way better places for supper. Drive over to Mt Pleasant and go to Mustard Seed, then take a walk at the new boardwalk on Shem Creek.
Try lunch after Ft Sumter at SNOB or Fleets.
Jestine's is excellent and not expensive. Good choice.
Maybe on Friday drive out to Sullivans? Ft Moultrie is interesting and has a beautiful view of the harbor.

How about a trip to Middleton Plantation? Can't understand eating BBQ in Charleston!!
And Dukey1? Did you go to Duke? Maybe you know my parents. Or maybe not. They don't know anybody with a really expensive car.
