Sturbridge, MA - Good Spot for Lunch or Brunch on a Sunday?

We have determined that Sturbridge is a good halfway point for us to come from the Hartford, CT area to get together with friends from Boston. Does anyone know of a nice place in the area where the six of us might meet on a Sunday for lunch or brunch?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It's been so long since I've been back home, so I'm not really sure what is still open. I know Whistling Swan and Publick House.

We have met friends a couple times at Ye Publick House. There may be fancier restaurants in Sturbridge, but this is a charming landmark to meet people. We drive down when visiting in the Worcester area, and our friends drive up from Rocky Hill, CT.

i came and found you../..i have just looked at the whistling swan and then i called them...they have a brunch starting the sunday after easter...they suggest we make a reservation....andy just told me that he is planning on coming, probably, but that beth may not be able to...

either the swan or its cheaper sister the ugly duckling would be fine with us or any other place you suggest...we ate at the public house the nite we were married, so 35+ years ago we were familiar with it...

let me know what you decide
