Stubhub and NFL Tickets

I am visiting New York in October and have been looking online for sports tickets. I recently stumbled across tickets for the Bills at the Jets on the 26th on stubhub.

I have a couple of questions though. Firstly, the prices start at $40! Can that be right? I know it's early in the season and the fixture isn't the most glamorous but that seems far too cheap? We are not exactly avid fans and will mainly be attending for the atmosphere but just how bad can the view be from all the way at the back?

Finally, I am assuming that stubhub is legit. It appears to be the official reseller of a number well respected organizations. Has anyone had any experience of using stubhub? Feedback good or bad welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Seriously? StubHub is the best-known ticket reseller. Just google it and you'll find a ton of information. Why not go on StubHub's website? It's been an active business for more than a decade and eBay owns it. Businesses don't last 14+ years if they're not "legit."

Geez, one or two more clicks would have got you to information on the StubHub FanProtect™ Guarantee.

Who is selling the tickets?
StubHub does not buy or sell tickets. The tickets on StubHub are listed and priced by other fans, and may be either above or below face value depending on the event.

For buyers

We guarantee...
*You'll get the tickets you ordered in time for the event and they'll be valid for entry
*If any of the above does not occur, we'll locate comparable replacement tickets or send you a refund
*We handle all customer support issues, so sellers will never contact you directly
*You'll get a refund if your event is cancelled and not rescheduled

Thank you Bigruss. You are right, I see plenty of information about stubhub now. It's not a reseller that is prevalent in my home country so perhaps my misgivings were because of the low prices available.

Resellers in the UK selling tickets for a premium league like premier league soccer would be asking for the equivalent of hundreds of dollars.

I agree that it is legit. One thing to make sure is that it is not just a parking pass as some people will just sell their parking passes (I just checked and the listing that starts at $40.00 is a parking pass so be careful what you choose). The cheap seats that are around that price are the upper nosebleeds in a tall stadium so take that into account and maybe go up some in price for better seats.

I use stubhub all the time without issue and will continue to use it.

We have used Stubhub with success.

And yes, be sure you are buying what you want.

I paid only $26.00 last year for a Vikings preseason game with Stubhub.
In October I'm going to see the Packers. Regular season game, behind the goalposts, for $192.00.
Doing a Stubhub will call on that ticket.

Even at the highest point of the stadium, you should be able to watch the large screen monitors and get real game experience. That said, we used StubHub last year and got 3rd row field level seats in Denver. Nothing like hearing Peyton Manning audible at the line of scrimmage in the red zone.

I don't have a link, but there are websites for various stadiums that will show the actual view from the seat you designate.

Most of the seats, even the cheap ones, in modern stadiums are pretty decent.

Thank you so much for chipping in with useful information. I'll book tickets this week.

Incidentally, what would be the best way to get to the stadium? I seem to recall that you can take a bus (160?) from Port Authority. Although I could be wrong.

Stubhub is perfectly legitimate - but do read VERY carefully what is being offered. Often the cheapest options are parking passes or simiar versus sear tickets.

I don't think you could even see the big screens from the upper rows as you would be above them...I was at MetLife tonight and could not imagine sitting in the nosebleeds with how big it is. But the screens and the sound system there are amazing.

Look into train options to get here. I drove from CT so I can't help on that end.
