Staying in DC
Hi! A few friends and I are planning a long weekend trip in DC. We're all girls around the age of 30 and will probably hit a few of the typical touristy spots, but we also just love trying breweries, restaurants, etc. in the area. Is there a fun, hip area we should focus our search in DC?
What neighborhoods offer some good restaurants, breweries, and bars, but also aren't too far from the big tourist spots around the Mall?
We'll probably do an AirBnB so would love to focus our search in a specific neighborhood/area.

150 restaurants within 3 miles of the Old Post Office Pavilion. https://www.concerthotels.com/venue-...aurants/303073
Please don't stay at anything with the Trump name on it.
Google for a Metro map. Are you coming in by plane or train?

I agree with kja and underhill, and although I'm not in your "demographic", I've been to DC many many times and stayed in all the neighborhoods. For MY interests, I would pick DuPont Circle, for yours, Penn Quarter or 14th St (the former denser and more urban, the latter neighborhood-y).
