Staying in Boston on Priority Club (Holiday Inn) points

Staying in Boston on Priority Club (Holiday Inn) points
Trying to plan a long weekend trip in November. We have enough Priority Club points to consider booking based on where the Holiday Inns are. Any suggestions as to where we would have the best access to everything, great views from room? Also, we are trying to not rent a car.

You won't need a car.
I would try for the Holiday Inn on Beacon Street in Brookline. It is directly on the Green Line trolley, and you can go west a few blocks to Coolidge Corner (Bookstores, movies, ethnic restaurants, Trader Joes) or a few blocks east to St Marys, where there is a cluster of restaurants and handy stores.
Continue on the Green Line inbound, and it takes you through Kenmore Square to Copley and Arlington (Back Bay and shopping) to Boylston (Chinatown and theater district),
Park Street (Boston Common and Beacon Hill) and Government Center (North End, Quincy Market).
You can change at Copley for the Museums, at Park Street for Harvard or the JFK Museum (in opposite directions) and at Government Center for the Aquarium and airport.
No views at the hotel nor are their views at the Holiday Inn on Cambridge Street.

Brookline is a pleasant town, but if you stayed there you would essentially be commuting into the city for any activity.
The Holiday Inn on Cambridge Street (their address is the side street: Blossom St.) is closer to activities such as the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, the Public Garden, etc. Boston is known as a walking city and you could walk to many days' destinations from the Blossom Street HI, sometimes called the Holiday Inn at Government Center (which is actually a few blocks up Cambridge St.).

I agree with Anonymous about location. Cambridge Street is better for being within walking distance of attractions, assuming the OP walks.
Neither hotel gets consistently great user ratings on Travel Advisor, so I recommended the Brookline location because of all the ambulance and fire station traffic on Cambridge Street. Not very peaceful at night.
Not a lot to choose between them, really.

I would see what I could do bidding on Priceline for a 4* in the Back Bay. The worst you are likely to get is the Sheraton, and that is not bad. You are within easy distance of 3 T stops, lots of shopping, a nice walk to the Charles River waterfront, plenty of places to eat at all price points.
We recently stayed at the Radisson in the theater district. It has a dreadful dingy lobby but a nice staff, and we had an excellent room with good views. Maybe $95 all in with Priceline (we bid about $65). Not far from the Arlington or Boylston T stops, two blocks to the Public Garden. Really a 3*.
