Staying at Univ. of Anchorage?
Has anyone stayed at the University for a night or 2 when not doing something on campus? http://www.uaa.alaska.edu/ccs/guesthousing/index.cfm
We are going to AK next week and after my 11 year old just spent a week at camp at the Univ of Washington and it seemed very hotel like with the check in I checked out the Anchorage website and found the same. Pretty cheap and sounds like fun to let the kids experience dorm living for a night or 2. We have our last night (only night) in Anchorage booked in a cancelable room now and I may change to here. Any experience? Thanks

Just thought I'd update this. We stayed at the University last Friday night. $115 for a quad suite. 4 seperate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sitting room with 2 couches. Furnished but of course not decorated. Was perfect for us as we arrived around 11pm and after 3 days on a sail boat hot showers were the most important thing we needed! I think this is a great budget option and will look into it in other cities we travel to.
