Just wondering where all the college spring breakers go in Florida. My family (kids 6 and 3) is planning a trip to St. Pete Beach/Clearwater the first week of April and was wondering if it will be flooded with college kids. We are planning on staying at the Don Cesar, and will probably just stay at their beach, so I'm assuming that there won't be many college kids at this resort. Do most college kids go to the east coast? Even if the Don Cesar itself is not crowded, will the surrounding area be crowded?
Thanks
St. Pete Beach/Spring Break

First week of April is the week after Easter and resort areas are typically filled with families. Colleges don't normally break over that time.
To be on the safe side, whatever hotel you book, find out their policy on spring breakers or the minimum age of guests.
There are college students here, and it will be crowded the first week in April, but more with families than with college students.
I doubt you'll find many if any students at the Don...too expensive. There will be plenty of other families there though, including others with young children, and although almost ALL of FL is crowded that week, you won't be inundated with the college spring break crowd--the Don is removed from the area they primarily stay in.
