Where are you staying? And, how old are you, or what do you exactly mean by "nightlife"

My best guess is that you're staying downtown, you're young, and you want someplace to hang in a bar post-game. If that's correct, I would suggest heading down to the Landing (Laclede's Landing, just north of the Arch). Sundecker's always seems to get big crowds, and has decent views of the river floating by. Also check out stltoday.com That is the website for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Should have bar listings under entertainment section and the what to do when visiting STL section.

If I've misjudged you and your request...sorry. Come back and be more specific and I or someone else can help out.

GO CARDS! (just in case you're a cubs fan)

We haven't booked a hotel yet, Everything Downtown is already booked up or to expensive. Yes we are young

We were thinking of the Soulard Area or the Westport Plaza area, i heard those places have good nightlife

Liz5959, if you know of any hotels in the Soulard Area, any help would be apprecaited

Thanks
I will check out that website

Go Cards as well

My vote is for Soulard. Unfortunately, there are no hotels in that area. Well, there is a Bed and Breakfast at the Lemp Mansion, but I think that can get kind of pricey (but it is very nice!)

Westport does have a decent nightlife. And they have several hotels. If you stay there, I would check out the Trainwreck Saloon. They usually have live bands. On Friday Wyld Stallions are playing (I've hear they are good, cover band) and on Saturday night it is the Shrinking Violets who are excellent (cover band). There will usually be a $5 cover. Also in Westport is Patricks. A bit more upscale, they have djs, and a cover. If you want to have a good time, and drink beer while hanging out, go to the Trainwreck.

However, after the game, you could just stay downtown and head to Al Hrabosky's Ballpark Saloon. That is a good place for a post game drink. It is right behind the stadium. www.hraboskys.com/

There is another bar across the street from Al's, but I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me!

As far as hotels, have you checked on priceline or any other sites? There is a nice Drury Inn down from the Stadium, and a Best Western I think. If you have any more questions, I live in the downtown area, and I can try to help.

Can I just say how jealous I am? I live in St. Louis and still have not been to the new stadium!!!

Follow Stlgrrl's advice on nightlife..she has some great ideas. (and is obviously much younger than I)

There are lots of hotels near or around Westport - Doubletree, Comfort Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn and Sheraton at Westport. There is a different, more expensive Sheraton at Westport too, I think it has "chalet" in the title. Also downtown, try Hampton Inn St. Louis Downtown at the Arch.

I get to go to the new stadium next Tuesday for cards vs pirates. Can't wait to see the inside of new Busch (sorry StLgrrl, don't mean to make you jealous).

Haha, thanks Liz. My neighbor gets season tickets, so he has already been, and a friend of mine got to go for free. At least she didn't rub it in. Too much.

And I thought of that other bar's name: Paddy-O's. How could I forget that? But, besides that one and Al's, there are several Blues/Jazz bars right along Broadway by the stadium that have terrific patios: The Beale on Broadway and Broadway Oyster Bar. Both very cool.
