Springsteen in Austin......need recommendations for hotel w/access to venue and airport.......

Springsteen's scheduled for March concert. Flying into Austin and need recommendations for nice hotel that's convenient to concert site and airport if possible. Thanks in advance.

He was here in Nov, but we were out of town so I missed it. The concert was *phenomenal* according to my friends. Lucky you.

We stayed at the La Quinta Capitol and I could swear that I noticed it was within walking distance to the Convention Center.

The Marriott at the Capitol. It's on IH 35 and 11th. Springsteen plays Frank Erwin Center, IH 35 and 19th. La Quita is about the same distance. The Mariott is much nicer.

You might also check out the Guest Quarters on 15th and Lavaca. 800-222-8733 / 512-478-7000
303 West 15th Street, Austin. That would be about 6 - 8 blocks as well. I'd reserve now. It's a busy time here.

By the way, the Austin Airport "moved" a few years ago. It used to be closer in to the city, just a couple of miles from downtown, easy acess. It is now out at the old Bergstrom Air Force Base. There are some hotels near the airport, but they are nowhere near the Erwin Center. I'd pick the Marriott at the Capitol.
