Spa Resorts

Can someone please give me some first hand info/knowledge on the better spa services offered from the resort hotels in AZ. I'm looking to unwind / relax / veg-out as well as do a little hiking &/or biking . Are there any resorts geared towards rejuvination & healing w/o being a weight reduction program.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Aji Spa at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass is quite new and beautiful. They offer an array of spa services. I had the hot stone massage last year and it was wonderful. Quiet adults only pool out back, with lots of shade. Very restful. One caveat -- I did think it was quite expensive, but I am not a big spa goer so I don't have much to compare it to. The rooms at the hotel, although on the smaller side, were nice with great bathrooms. There are out in the middle of nowhere so plenty of hiking trails and pretty desert vegatation.

I have been to Canyon Ranch in Tuscon Arizona several times. They offer many classes in fitness, relaxation and nutrition. They also have many mouuntain hikes and bike trips daily. Their spa services are phenominal.
They do have only one dining room which is geared towards a healthy diet. However If you want more food you can order a double portion, at no extra charge.
This year we are going to the Miraval spa which offers similar services. I think they may have more life changing programs. Their website is www.miravalresort.com
Enjoy

For relaxing/unwinding, hiking/biking and a fabulous famous spa the Boulders Resort in Carefree can't be beat. Their casitas are wonderful. Stayed there in April.

Although you asked about hotels you might consider Miraval. It is a destination spa with lots of activities and great food and the description you gave fits perfectly. Although there are food options if you want to be on a diet there are even more tasty options if you are not. The activities include biking and hiking along with many other options some of which can a little odd but often fun and mind expanding. The website is miravalresort.com.

Not sure whre in AZ you are heading, but the Fairmount Princess in Scottsdale has a wonderful spa...44,000 square feet of luxury. I was there in April, had various "services" from 1-4:30 and I didn't want to leave!!
