Spa Resort south of Atlanta?

An old high school friend and I are meeting half way this summer to celebrate our 50th birthdays together. Anybody know of a nice spa resort on the southside of Atlanta? Thanks for any help you can give!

This is further south (closer to Alabama) and the spa is very nice.
Not awesome, but nice -

I just checked Serenbe (JUST south of Atlanta) and sure enough, they've added a spa -
http://www.serenbeinn.com/bluemedspa.html

"BLUE MedSpa, chosen as one of the “Top 55 Hot New Spas Worldwide” by Conde Nast Traveler and a “Top 3 Medical Spa” by readers of Spa Magazine (along with Canyon Ranch & La Jolla),..."

I've not been there (to the spa) but to be compared to Canyon Ranch and La Jolla? Sounds like it will be awesome too.

Starrs has just about covered the topic. The Ritz is what you'd expect from a Ritz- very nice. Callaway is a good choice if you are into gardens but otherwise I would rate it as "ok" as a spa destination. Serenbe is the hot, "in" place among my stylish, chic friends who like to spa and get away for the weekend (I live in Atlanta).

Another option is The Cloister at Sea Island on the coast. Its spa outclasses all of the above.

Happy Birthday!
