Southwest National Parks 2000 Mile Road Trip (April-May 2009)

For your reading and viewing pleasure:

Hello all -

I am still putting the finishing touches on a travel blog, which is an account of a recent trip to the Southwest USA. We flew into Vegas, rented a car and explored more than a dozen National Parks and Monuments. This was a trip of a lifetime and I am still amazed how much everything fell into place.

The navigation on the site is still a little clumsy and I am trying to make it more user friendly. Until I get this fixed, just click on "Archive" and you can select the dates within April 09 and May 09.

Happy trails!

My apologies for the duplicate. I was trying to add a tag for Utah. That was definitely one of the highlights.

Sounds like a great trip. I hope you will be able to return to some of the beautiful places and spend more time to explore the wonders there. The trip into Chaco Canyon is not too bad and only 15 miles of it is on gravel roads. Do hire a Navajo guide to take you into Canyon de Chelley next time too, ours was great.

Thanks for the report.

Very interesting blog and pictures. You certainly made the most of your trip!

May I make a correction re: Mesa Verde. You have indicated the photo and text is of Cliff Pueblo. It should be Cliff Palace, which is a cliff dwelling and not a pueblo. Sorry to put this here, but I didn't see any other way to contact you and thought you might want to edit your info. Hope you don't mind.

DebitNM, thank you for the information. I will update the blog and I do greatly appreciate your setting me straight.
(I am glad that's the only error folks have found so far...I am sure there are more)

MMouse52, we drove 2000 miles. It was awesome.

THanks all for checking it out.
