Hi everyone,
My husband and I are planning a weekend road trip from Chicago up through southeastern Wisconsin to see some fall foliage. We like to hike and see off-the-beaten path sights. We will also have our small dog with us (she likes to hike too!).
We've never been to Wisconsin - any tips on must-see sights, things to do, or recommendations on where to see the fall colors?
I've checked out the fall color website, but some insider info would be helpful.
Thanks!

Sorry no one responded to you sooner -- too bad Fall Colors are passed - and with these winds it really emptied the trees fast - BUT their is plenty of good hiking in SE Wisconsin -- I would strongly recommend the Ice Age Trail -- you would see a lot of glacial formations. Also Old World Wisconsin is well worth a visit. Also, a visit to Holy Hill is well worth while - climb the church tower and visit the catherdal - it is beautiful.
