My husband and i just returned from SoBe..i am 45 and he is 46..we went to Crobar and Opium..no top 40 stuff in those places, but great dance music, and Opium is something to see...matter of fact unless you hang out on Ocean at some of the local hotel/bar/restaurants who play quieter music outdoors, you wont get that type of music in SoBe...but le deux fontaines on ocean has great live jazz, as does the van dyke cafe on lincoln rd... and yes people do wear one piece suits on the beach...maybe because it was "off season" and cool out but I wasnt intimidated at all by the dress (or lack there-of)or attitude of the people there...altho in the clubs at night people do tend to go all out and dress with as little as possible if they can get away with it..just go with an open mind, play it by ear, and have fun. Besides, you can always ask the concierge at your hotel where the best place to go is on any given day

To explain again my question was simply that all the travel channel shows on South Beach, best beach, top ten beaches usually include South Beach. The beach looks wonderful. I said to my husband one night viewing the shows, "gee I don't see one woman in a one piece bathing suit," perhaps I would feel uncomfortable wearing a once piece. Maybe no one does and this is why we aren't seeing it, LOL. When this subject was approached about being 40'ish in SoBe I asked the question regarding the one piece. I am well into my 40's and I think I would feel uncomfortable wearing a one piece bathing suit if I were the only one on the beach doing so. Simply as that. I agree you can wear the 2 piece in your 40's if you strive to do so it is hard work. Nothing wrong with doing so, my credit to you who work out diligently. Not meant to be a discussion on who should or who shouldn't. I sincerely asked if anyone does wear a once piece as I have not seen this on the beach.
