We are two friends meeting up in South Beach for two nights in early March. We're leaving the husbands and kids behind and are looking for relaxation, a beautiful pool, good service and a nice spa. We are not looking to be surrounded on all sides by 18-year-old super models, but we do want luxury and a great location.
We're looking to spend less than $500/night and have narrowed it down to these hotels. Any suggestions for choosing one over the others?

Do you mean the Betsy?
If so, the Betsy and the Raleigh are much better located than the Gansevoort and will have less of a "scene". I'd pick the Raleigh because it's right on the beach (as opposed to across the street as the Betsy is) and it's just so lovely with a great pool area. You can also take their free shuttle to their sister property, the Standard.
Oops! Yes, I mean The Betsy. And thanks, I didn't know that the Betsy and the Raleigh are better located than the Gansevoort. So the Raleigh is close to restaurants, etc? Thanks so much.
Yes, the Raleigh is close to everything, including the best stretch of the beach IMO. It's one of my favorite hotels.
