South Beach hotel recommendations

Hi, I'm looking into going tO South Beach in late April/early May. We would like to stay within walking distance to bars/restaurants and would prefer to be beachfront. Thanks!

You've asked a too general question IMHO. Have you searched Trip Advisor? How much money do you want to spend - $750 a night, $179 a night? The Loews Hotel is fantastic. So are about 30 others...

I just came back from The National and loved it. Incredible pool area, and cabanas/service right on the beach. Good service, comfortable rooms. Located on Collins, a block from Lincoln. Not too many great restaurants within walking, however.

I agree. South Beach beachfront hotels can have WILDLY differing personalities. Please tell us more about yourself and someone can help find a good match for you.

Sorry, I have never been to South Beach before so wasn't aware of the variety out there. We are a group of girls, late 20's. Quality of hotel the hotel is a little less important than the location. We don't have a preference over a resort vs smaller hotel. Days will be full of lounging at the beach. Nights hitting the bars.

The Doubletree is fine for your purposes. It has a great location, easy walk to Lincoln Road Mall with all kinds of restaurants and bars. The hotel has a nice beach and pool. It is relatively small and there is no on site parking.
