South Beach, FL over Christmas Holidays

We're looking to go to South Beach (Miami) Florida over Christmas. Any suggestions on hotels? We are a family with two children (10 and 14 years) and will be there for 2 nights.

Miami (South Beach) Royal Palm deals betterbidding.com
from $79/nt will be lots more in high season.

www.clayhotel.com basic cheap.

www.otel.com other good no bid options

FountainBleau has great values for me $200 at times book soon.

Eden Roc very good too from personal experience lots more $$$

The Fontainbleau and Eden Roc are techically not Soith Beach. South beach is anything from 23rd Street down to 1st. The FB and ER are at about 44th Street. With that said we love staying at the FB. Our kids are 9 and 12 and we've been doing staycations there since the reopening 4 years ago. It a true resort with 5 restaraunts, multiple pools, a gorgeous spa, and beach access. You can not walk to much, you will need to take cabs.

On South Beach I would recommend the Loews for or a family or the Sagamore. They are in walking distance of all the action. Kids will like to walk Ocean drive and Lincoln road.

Rates are pretty high in December, not sure of your budget.

We stayed with the kids at the Surfcomber at 1717 Collins Av... it was a Doubletree Hotel until recently... its right on the beach... great pool and family friendly...

I hope they don't ruin it by changing from a Doubletree...
