Some Metro stations (inc. National Airport) *closed* over Labor Day weekend

Visitors and locals planning to use the Metro stations at Reagan National Airport, Crystal City, or Pentagon City this weekend should take a look at this WaPost article:
http://tinyurl.com/nfear2

The stations will be closed (that means you can't get on & off the trains there, though trains will keep passing through the closed stations) from about 9:30 Friday night until about 5pm Monday.

Sorry, correction to my own post: story says they'll be closed until 5am Tuesday (so, longer than I wrote above).

Lori,

With 10 people (!), it may be cheaper and quicker to taxi anyway...

I agree about the taxi with a big group like that.

Anyone interested should go to the Metro website -- www.wmata.com -- to read the latest press releases closely. Check over on the right edge of the page for them. I see that I misinterpreted the early press coverage and that trains will *not* be passing through the closed stations; if I'm now understanding correctly, there will instead be shuttle bus service around the closed chunk of line.
