Snowmobiling in Tahoe first week of April?

My husband & I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and are considering a trip to Lake Tahoe. Will snowmobiling in April be a possibility? Your recommendations for a company to book a tour with would be great. And if you want to throw in a little advice where to stay, that would be even better!
