We are trying to plan a family vacation to the Smoky Mountains (Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg) in mid March. We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old (both girls), and I am also pregnant (will be 5 months at time of trip). We need recommendations of a good place to stay. We would really like accommodations with 2 bedrooms so we can put our kids to bed before us. We are open to a cabin or hotel, we just want to be close to restaurants and attractions for the kids. Anyone have any great advice or recommendations for us? Places to stay, things to do with little ones? Thanks so much!

If your number one priority is proximity to restaurants and attractions, I'd stay at a hotel in Gatlinburg. You can walk to just about everything on the strip from an in-town hotel, including the aquarium (which would be great for your girls). The down sides are that you wouldn't have the space you'd get in a cabin, and you'd have to drive a decent amount to do Cades Cove or any sort of hiking.
It's been too long since I've stayed in Gatlinburg proper to give specific recommendations, but your budget per night would be really helpful for those who can.
If you are on a budget. I would recommend http://www.americascabins.com. They have very good rates and can accommodate the kids in a cabin. I have stayed in All Fun & Games and it is great for kids because it has a room downstairs just for them to play as well as sleep.
